The holiday season is upon us, and for many middle-aged women, it can be an overwhelming time as they navigate the life-altering symptoms or full blown throws of “the change,” and grapple with feelings of relevance and value at  home, the workplace and in society.  It can be a challenge to tap into the joy of the season while dealing with surmounting physical and personal change and the whirlwind of holiday stress and nostalgia.  Whether you’re traveling, grappling with changing traditions, conquering gift giving or reluctantly embracing changing family dynamics - like your first holiday season without your adult children - it's crucial to find your bliss and maintain a sense of gratitude and grace.  In the midst of the hustle and bustle, here are some strategies to help you navigate the season with poise and appreciation.

  • Holiday Travel: Embrace the Journey

Holiday travel can be both exciting and exhausting.  It might also be inevitable, depending on the geographic locations of your loved ones. Whether you're visiting family or exploring new destinations, approaching travel planning as early as possible and with a patient and positive mindset can make a significant difference.  The key is intentional preparation.

Instead of focusing solely on the destination, savor the journey. Use this time to reflect, unwind, and appreciate the opportunity to create lasting memories.
