EMBRACING THE SEASON OF EMPATHY: CULTIVATING COMPASSION DURING THE HOLIDAY HUSTLE
In a season filled with joy, spectacle and delight, it’s easy to lose sight that not everyone is exuding light. For some, it’s a dark and hollow time. Having empathy gives us the ability to feel what another person is going through and sitting with them in that dark place - letting them know they’re not alone.
THE EMOTIONAL ROLLER COASTER AS AN EMPTY NESTER WHEN COLLEGE KIDS COME HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS
One of the hardest realities I grappled with when our kids came home for Thanksgiving was that I had to share them with other people. They were in demand. The short break was spent catching up with high school friends and other family members, plus our daughter picked up a handful of shifts at the place she’d worked the summer before she left for college. Managing schedules and securing quality time together was a bit of a juggling act, and while our time together was wonderful, it was way too fleeting.
UTERINE ABLATION VS. HYSTERECTOMY: A PERSONAL STORY

I was not familiar with the procedure, but was sold on the fact that it’s much less invasive than a hysterectomy and there was a high chance that my periods would end for good. A uterine (also known as Endometrial) ablation is a surgical procedure that is used to remove or destroy the endometrial lining of the uterus. The goal of the procedure is to decrease the amount of blood loss during menstrual periods.

It can be a challenge to tap into the joy of the season while dealing with surmounting physical and personal change and the whirlwind of holiday stress and nostalgia.
10 OF OUR FAVORITE ANTI-AGING SERUMS FOR SUPPLE SKIN
We love a good serum. The little bottles are jam packed with yummy ingredients to add moisture and radiance to your skin. The light-weight silky smooth oils are a go-to collagen booster that promotes firmness and minimizing fine lines and wrinkles. Serums also protect your skin from sun damage and the day-to-day pollutants your skin is exposed to.
TACKLING DRY SKIN IN THE WINTER MONTHS - our top remedies
I have a love hate relationship with winter. I love the first snowfall, holiday parties, gift giving and snuggling up by the fire with a good read. It’s the bitter cold, whipping winds, and my dry flaky skin that make this season such a downer for me. I can’t control the weather, but I can take steps to keep my skin smooth and nourished during this time of year.
